Sonsbeek is undoubtedly Arnhem's most famous park, just a five-minute walk from Central Station and the city center. Together with the parks Zypendaal and Gulden Bodem, Park Sonsbeek forms Arnhem's biggest green attraction. The park includes a magnificent observation tower (De Belvédère) and the particularly beautiful Steep Garden. People play sports, lounge, picnic, skate and stroll. Moreover, today the park is the setting for several open-air concerts and cultural festivals. Thus, everyone enjoys this unique park, which in 1963 was the first Dutch park to be granted National Monument status, in their own way.
