Monumental and modern
The old, monumental part dates from 1847 and just exudes history. The auditorium is being restored to its former glory and will open in the autumn of 2017, together with the new concert hall of Musis. The new concert hall borders a beautiful park. The architects came up with a transparent design that merges effortlessly with its verdant surroundings. A portion of the exterior is glass and acts as a green backdrop for performances in the new concert hall. On a sunny day, the glass façade can be opened so that the enchanting music can also be heard in the park. The historic part of Musis will be connected to the new concert hall by a plinth.
